HIGH DESERT BOMBING RUNS Bob and John occasionally run out to a local barren wasteland in order to create effects on a larger scale. These are known as HDBRs -- High Desert Bombing Runs -- and of course the camera always goes along. The footage is shot in HD against a clear blue sky. Because the sky has a natural gradient, we've cleaned up the footage a bit in these DV-version clips to make it easier to key. (Those wishing the footage au natural will find it on our HD site.) Dear Detonation Films, I recently discovered your site quite by accident while looking for chroma key materials. I must convey my gratitude for creating this website and your special effects. I proceeded to download all of the free samples and I tested them with Sony Vegas Studio and they worked marvelously, my war-veteran father applauded the realism of the effects. My name is Chris and I am currently in my second year of Film School at the University of Central Florida, and I, like most other filmmakers here, are plagued by (very) low budgets, hence we have little opportunity for any special effects involving explosions, (not to mention certain legal restrictions). Your website and your products are a gift from the divine...I also wish to inform you that from this day on, i will inform all that i come into contact with about your website.
